I recently posted the question, "How can a 13 year old make an online business?" because I want to start making my own money and lessen my family's debt. We've been counting pennies at the supermarket, and I feel bad with all my constant shopping. I've been warned about the spammers online and decided not to go for an online business. But summer is coming, and I was wondering how I could money? Forget babysitting, walking dogs, or lemonade stands. I have a lot of junk in my room, like old clothes and toys, but I don't now what to do with that. I'm also really artistic and creative, and can make just about anything using clay. Help! I want to make $$$! |

As a 13 year old, you shouldn't be so involved in your family's financial situations; however, I know how you feel. I wouldn't recommend landscaping because of your age (it can get really hot and the equipment needed can be very dangerous). Honestly, there's not a lot out there for you or anyone for that matter. It's hard enough finding a part-time job as an adult much less a teenager. You could suggest that your family have a yard sale and get rid of all the "junk" in your whole house. Lots of people have success with this. You could advertise it in your local newspaper or a weekly classifieds magazine. |
