I'm 14 years old and was hoping to make about 45-50 dollars here in the next 3 weeks to a month, but have no way of doing it. I'd ask my parents, but my dad wouldn't give it to me, and he's suing my mom (parents are divorced) in about a week for a LOT of money, and my mom can't spare any money right now. I live in an apartmentment/townhouse complex, so I can't offer to do yard work for neighbors and things like that. I was trying to get a summer job this summer, but so far no luck. I don't exactly need this money, just hoping to make some money on the side. What are some ways I could make it? Also, sorry about the categorization, I don't want to sound like a businessman or something. |

Find things to sell on Ebay...like old baseball cards, or old jeans or something like that. You could probably make that much a week. Just one warning...be sure you read all the rules carefully.
Or, you could deliver newspapers for you local newspaper.
Or, you could mow loans for your neighbors.
Or, you could wash your neighbors cars.
Or, you could as your neighbors, if you could recycle their cans and bottles, (you could give them a percentage), instead of having them just putting them in the recycling bin.

I hate to say this because it sounds so cliche', but the best way is to collect cans. If you live near a sports arena or some kind of community building you are bound to find more cans there. If you live near a park, camping area or beach it is even better. Everyone at these areas throws away or just drops their cans in the street. I am not sure where you live, but in my state cans are 10 cents a piece. You could easily collect $50 worth of cans in two days |

babysitting girl. you can make 3 times that amount. go make some fliers with your name, age, number, and hourly rate. then put them all around your complex. you will get alot of money mama. usually at public libraries they have babysitting courses that will teach u cpr and other things...parents love hearing that u have taken the class an got a certficate for it! goodluck girl |

Check on Craigslist for someone willing to pay someone for tedious and/or laborious work. You would be surprised how many elderly folks and/or physically challenged folks need help and are willing to pay.
I once helped a guy move a washing machine from his basement to the back of a truck for $20. For an additional $20 I went with him to help him move it to a storage unit.
If you go this route, be safe. Ask someone to go with you, drop you off or at least tell them where you are going and with whom. Good luck.
Finally, think about what you enjoy doing or what you do well. You would be surprised how many people need the weirdest things.
When all else fails, start spreading word of mouth that you will walk dogs or rake yards/mow lawns. I used to do this when I was 14. |

Get a bucket, a bag of (old) T-Shirts to be used as rags.. and a soft cotton towel, a bottle of Windex window cleaner , some dawn dish soap, and a bottle of Eagle 1 car wax...! find someone with a large Lincoln Continental or some large car, and tell them you will Han-Wash ,Rinse, and Hand-Wax their car ..and clean the tires and Rims for $100. Take your time & do a good Job..! it will take you about 4 Hours to finish,, but you will have made $100 in 4 Hours of work..! ( That's $25 an hour in Wages ) not bad for a 14 year old..! I know I started my own Detail shop that way..! |

A 14 year old probably has a bunch of toys that he doesn't use anymore. Just take those toys and old clothes and sell them on EBay or have a yard sale... That's what I do with my old stuff!!! |

Are their people with pets where you live? Ask if anyone wants a dog walker. Not sure if your m or f but even if you are a guy you can still be a responsible babysitter(especially for some little boys). Who knows maybe you can find some people that will pay for you to take their trash out(I wish I could find someone to do mine I hate that particular chore lol) Do you know anything about sports? When I was younger I used to ref for little kids soccer for the Parks and rec department where I lived and made 20 bucks a game. With yard work not an option those are the main ones I can think of. Also in someplaces you can get a work permit at 14 or 15 and get a regular job like McDonalds. |

i'd babysit if i were you... i'd put flyers up in common areas in your neighborhood.
i'd also have a garage sale and sell old junk. i'd also ask one of my parents if they would let me put things on ebay. in no time you'll have plenty of money:D |
