many, many, many, many ways!!!
i just turned 15...so i know how you feel!
1. Mow lawns...I did this for 2 weeks(monday-friday) straight mowing 3 lawns a day for 25 bucks each...yeah thats 750 bucks!...but then you have to pay for gas...so it was actually like 700
2. babysitting is also a good one... you earn trust and money...and if you earn trust from someone they always come back to you...and they usually recommend you to other people.
3. Buy like a box of 1000 glow sticks for like 50 bucks and go to like a sporting event at night and sell them for 50 cents each... that 450 dollars!
4. if you like to write...go to Triond.com...you can publish your stuff and the more someone looks at it...the more money you make...you can get the money by mail, paypal, and a few other ways. |

It's hard to make fast money for anyone these days, and most of the time you get scammed out of the money if you are trying to make money "easy and fast". Babysitting, petsitting, carry something, cleaning, mowing lawns would be the fastest ways for someone your age to make money. |

Collect all your spare change around your house and run to coinstar. Make sure you have a lot of quarters because they really add up. Me and my best friend did this and made like $60. You can find coinstars at Stop and Shop or other food stores I guess.

If you have spare change lying around, do NOT go to a cheesy machine that claims to give you back money - they charge you, and will steal your money (there is not a single reason in the world that ANYone should have to pay to exchange money for money). Instead, visit a bank, and ask for those rolls for each type of coin so you can exchange the change for bills.
I definitely agree with the notion of selling items you no longer need (and if nobody near and dear to you would like the items, especially if they're deprived) and thinking of creative ways to profit with investments (such as the suggestion for selling glowsticks). Make certain that you calculate how much each item costs (the price you pay for it including shipping divided by the amount you get), and then decide upon a price to charge.
I do not know if you're allowed to sell your blood at a young age, and I have not been down that road ... while I recommend you save this for terrible times where no option exists (i.e., you have no possessions, no spare change, nobody who trusts you, absolutely nothing), then you would do this. It's a last resort- you can't really do it too much, because you'll totally die.
Think of things that other people would like for you to do for them, and offer to help - even though you won't get paid cash now, you will build up trust and a good reputation (just make sure you're savvy about the favors you choose, and for whom you help, eg, teachers of higher standing than the others, mom's boss, or whatever - though whether the opportunity will arise is a different story)
Always remain positive, happy, optimistic, and think of the longer more distant future and what dreams you may have... don't tell anybody, just keep them to yourself, and then be nice to folks who you can see will deserve it, if you know what I mean (ie be nice to people with friends in higher places who might offer you a job when you're older). You might seem wise beyond your years, and may be recommended sooner than most.
Don't be a gigalo, or a prostitute, or a pimp, or sell drugs... unless you know exactly how to deal with the law. ;) jk |
