Shoveling driveways is an obvious answer - but you are so dependent on snow and depending on where you live, that might not happen very often. So why not think outside of the box? Do you like animals? You can start a pet-sitting or dog-walking service. You can do chores for elderly people in your neighborhood - like helping them clean or do laundry or help them do their grocery shopping. It's the holiday season so maybe you can start a business where you wrap gifts for people - OK, maybe not. When I was 13 I had all sorts of business ventures - the one I like best was shining people's shoes!
In any case, think about the things you like to do or are good at and then figure out a way to sell that service to someone. And make sure you talk with your parents and get their approval before starting any enterprise.

Babysit. That is one way, and girls and guys both, if the kids like them, can make good sitters and decent money. Offer to do inside jobs for friends, family and neighbors like clean garages, or help younger kids with homework/school tutoring. Sell some of your things that are in good condition but you no longer use or need. Like on ebay or to friends, etc. Good luck! I hope you find something that works for you. |

ask your neighbors/ friends if they need you to do anything for them.
ive gotten a few babysitting/petsitting (pulling weeds and mowing lawns in summer) jobs just by asking random people who knew and trusted me. |
