Trust me, it will take time, especially since you're young. If you're focused on your goal, you can find a pretty decent way to make money, but the real question is will you stick to it or just abandon your goal. I would ask for an allowance, if your parents believe in allowances. I go to my dad's work and help him out, he gives me $20.00 per day, on the weekends/ vacation. So for me getting a Wii would take about 2 weeks. For an 11 year old, it would take about 1-2 months, there's always your birthday, or the next big holiday. Or the old fashioned "annoying-your-parents" way. |

Did you know that there have been some pretty impressive businesses that were started and run by kids your age? If you want to read real stories check out books like "Fast Cash for Kids" by Bonnie & Noel Drew. Your Librarian can find the Drew's book and other titles that can help you make money. It's going to take some work but $250 isn't that difficult of a goal to reach if you put your mind to it. |

Why don't you try to mow peoples lawns or ask your parents to think of different jobs around the house you can do and they can pay you for. If you work hard you will appreciate the wii more. |

Well, I hesitate to use the word prostitution, but...
No, seriously, try putting things on eBay, maybe asking your neighbours if you can do any oddjobs for them, and maybe set up the classic lemonade stall? Make sure any money you save goes into a high interest account. If you're 11, you should get a very favourable rate and you have to earn less.
Also, you might want to try to reduce the cost of your Wii by looking for discounted versions online, or maybe a second hand one. |

it's great to have a goal. good job! ask around to people you know, ask to do jobs for them. small jobs like helping them do whatever for an afternoon. hire yourself out a few times. it's always a fun thing to do with people you know well. it should only take 4-5 afternoons of helping people you know. let them decide how much to give you, but don't let them cheat you. if you work 4 or 5 hours, 30 dollars is good, but chances are that if you don't tell them what to pay you, they'll pay you more. older people love having children around to help them out, and they usually have money burning holes in their pockets. |

Get a job and save money. Ask your parents for things you can do around the house and ask neighbors, then don't spend any of that money. |

Sit with your parents and explain to them that you need money to buy your game and tell them that you are willing to do chores around the house to get the money. Ask them to match whatever money you make. If you earn $100 ask them to give you an additional $100. It depends on your parents though, if they decide to go with this idea. |
