Dave Ramsey (Your Total Money Makeover, Financial Peace) says if you have an emergency fund (even if it's only $1000), your luck will change.
Without an emergency fund, bad things seem to happen all the time because they hit you up for money immediately. If you have an emergency fund, you don't notice it as much, because you are prepared for 'bad luck'

Work harder. It is no coinidence that those with good luck happen to be the hardest workers. If you are refering to winning the lottery that is odds not luck and you cant control that. If it is your perception you want to change go visit Africa, Irag, China and see if your perception of luck has changed. |
