Get a lawyer???

STUPID ANSWER

She cant afford a lawyer!! and wont get legal aid!

AND if shes moving in a couple of days??? Stupid people

To be honest you cant do anything, you agreed to pay the money into his account, but you never wrote an agreement and signed it stating he was to give you that money back!

Cancel the payment into his account!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then ask to be paid by cheque, and cash them at a cheque cashers, this will cost you £10/15 or so.

Your boyfriend sounds liek a prat, Dump him, if he is low enough to steal all that money from you he will do far worse, you can always try taking something he owns and not giving it back till he gives you the cash back.
But then he might get violent!

Cut your losses and run.

As for the small claims court and GARNISHMENT ORDERS.......................... I can tell you they know nothing about them!

SMALL CLAIMS COURT means exactly that, this is for small claims ralative to a nationally set average and this is far too small amount and they wont accept it, anyway you cant afford a lawyer.

GARNISMENT ORDER??????? Again, wrongg suggestion, no breach of contract! Stupid answer!

You DIDNT sign a contract, or any form of agreement, all your boyfriend has to do is say he loaned you cash and that you are paying it back.

get a basic bank account or something and arrange for your wages to be paid into your basic bank account
and then break up with him
dont allow him to take YOUR MONEY!!

He sounds like my brother-in-law, is he in Swansea?
Spray deodorant in his face and pinch his wallet, then set up a direct debit to your own bank account.

Then you can take whatever money out of his account that you want.

mysti t
well you are probably screwed. and the only thing to do would be to get your identification problems sorted out and remove him from the scene.
do you have a girlfriend or family that could open an account and let you become a signer????
at the least have him put your name on the account.
lesson here??? NEVER give a man that much power over you

Madrepora
Firstly,get a lawyer.
Secondly,break up with him!

Simple tell him under no condition you want your cash, get upset about it, shed a few tears and tell him you need it, if he still won't cough up then approach a few male friends of yours you can trust or if you have a brother and give them the run down.
They'll probably help you out once you explain your dire straits. once you've gotten conformation on the male muscle approach the asshole who by the way is using you and has no intention of giving you your money!
.
Push the muscle on him and while hes pinned down, tell him to cough up or he'll be coughing up blood!

Works all the time..theirs nothing like intimidation ...

For starters, stop getting your wages paid into his account!! From a bks point of view, unless the account is both yer names, they cant give it to you so unless he decides to pay up, youere basically screwed!!
What a pr**k to do that. Get rid!

I know a few people that will cap him for a crate of beer if it helps 8)

Get rid of your boyfriend and find some gentlman and honest person even if you have to loose your money. But first politely, technically, cleverly get all from him. Tell him you want to start a business or invest in stock exchange or sue him in the court.

em, doesn't sound like a solid relationship to me, nor one where he has respect for you.

Sounds like he is using the money as a controlling factor.

I would set up another account, looks like you might have to kiss that money goodbye. But its likely to break you up anyway so the money doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

My daughter had this problem so I bought the debt off her, so now it was me who was owed the cash.

I just popped round to see him + parents, explained the facts of life and left with the readies.

Problem solved!

Good luck.

Kick him in the family jewels and ditch the low life.... bless thats really not good, if he cared about you then he would not do that to you!

msijg
First stop payments form going to his account
Second break up with him
THird try to get your money
Tell him that you are going to go to his employer after you leave the court with a garnishment order because you can prove that your check was being deposited in his account. He would have to prove that he gave you the money and I can gaurantee that his account will show that he paid the money to someone else. My guess is he may even be spending your money on another woman.

hope this helps

What exactly were your 'identification' problems? I'd say this is what you need to get sorted out otherwise you are going to be blackmailed in exactly the way your supposed boyfriend is doing now.
Banks do have 'basic accounts' that do not allow overdrafts etc and so have a lower ID requirements. The fact that you have been paid a wage suggests you should have a payment slip giving your details - this is adequate ID. Unless of course you have an illegal immigrant status - if so find a Citizen's Advice Bureau to help you.

Firstly, put a stop on your money going into your BF a/c. Ask your employer if he can pay you cash,or ask a trustworthy member of your family.
To me it sounds as if the BF has spent your money ,or is some kind of control freak.
You could try the small claims court, but it will probaly take time. And it would be your word against his, whether he gave you the money or not
You may have to kiss goodbye to your cash, and the BF.
Good Luck....
