well you could always take up another part time job. I know this sucks to say but "get rich quick" shemes never work. You didn't say what kind of job you have, if you are working 30 hours a week at McDonalds yeah that isn't going to get you very far. If you didn't go to college then you'll probably always have a bit of trouble paying your bills. So then you are probably best off just limit what you buy, make a budget for every month saying how much you can spend on clothes or on entertainment and leave some of your income for savings. You'll never get anywhere without saving. And whatever you do, DO NOT, go over your set amount for each item and bill. Trust me in a year off from now your finances will be better for it. |

First of all, financial decisions shouldn't be based on what someone on Yahoo says. Get together with a financial analyst that can look at everything you pay out and bring in per month.
You don't want to get rich fast. It feels like a windfall and you go out and spend it only to regret it later on.
My ideas though would be (not necessarily in order):
- debt consolidation
- pay off high APR credit cards and get rid of them
- refinance any loans to a lower monthly amount
- look for discounts/sales
- anaylze your bills - is there anything you can cancel and do without for a while, such as a cell phone (we have become too dependent on certain things)
- become stingy with your money when it comes to buying things
There is also a website (below) I heard about where people (not banks) loan other people money. I have not used it myself though, but it might be worth your time and effort to look into for your particular situation. |
