How can i save up to 50% of my monthly income?
What I intend to do is to drastically reduce all my expenditures, without affecting my lifestyle to an extreme extent.

If housing costs take up a large portion of your budget, moving to a cheaper place or getting a roommate would help greatly.

Invest in pre-tax retirement accounts. Although be aware that there is no way to put away half of your income without cutting your living expenses somewhere. The reason a pre-tax investment is best; it reduces your taxable income.

How can you drastically cut your expenditures without affecting your lifestyle? That sounds nearly impossible to me. Only a couple of things I can think of that might help you to be able to do that:
1) Get a cheap but reliable car, like a Corolla. Be sure that its also small, so that you can save gas $$.
2) Above step might also help you save on insurance. But you should still do a comparison price on insurance- maybe using Insureweb or Insure.com, something like that. I check prices every 2-3 years, and sva ea good amount each time.
Thats about all I can think of that wont impact your lifestyle too much- but I think to save the amount you are saying, you'll find that your lifestyle will definately be affected.

Suppress the urge to get out and shop 50% of the times. When you do not have a specific item to buy, avoid going out even to windowshop. The greatest money drainer is unplanned shopping.

To save 50% of your income you would have to stop paying rent and eating. It is estimated that people spend 30% of their income on living expenses alone.

By putting it in the bank. But your bills won't get paid.

Make it very clear why you would like to save money and put that goal in front of you every day in the form of pictures etc Put one in your wallet as well so that before you spend money you are remembered why you would want to save it. And if you are going to have to spend it anyway make sure you spend it where you get the biggest savings. I make use of a discount coded mall tinyurl.com/hlnz7 where all regular shops listed give me extra discounts that are being saved on my personal account. Then I save within spending if it is really something I need. But remind yourself first of your goal what you want to safe for before spending! You'll have to be realistic, bills need to be payed, but you can reach your goal if you do keep your aim clearly in mind :-)
