I see that a lot of people are calling me ungrateful. Guys, the country that Im in, I have been to every year since i was born because my parents are from that country. I know the whole place by heart by now. I just started making friends this year back in the states and i wont be able to do anything in the summer with them if i dont get back. Also, I want to go back to my job. I was working a lot over the summer. Im not ungrateful. Its just that by the time i come back ill have to start college like the next day |

Unless they (1) have your ATM card or (2) are an authorized user on your account it can't happen. Good luck- why can't they loan you the $ and you pay them back when you get here. OR better yet- why can't your parents give you the $ |

If you're 18, why did you go with your parents? You could always have refused. You are an adult, after all. However, what is the big deal, anyways? It's not like a vacation is a bad thing (unless you're in a war-torn country or something), so enjoy it! Think about what else you could use your money for, instead of a ticket back home right now, when you know you'll be home in a few weeks anyways. |

You cannot. You can wire the money to yourself, but that will cost a fee. Plus, you will then have to change your US dollars to whatever money you will need in the country you are at to buy your own ticket.
Being 18 doesn't matter. But it is a great age to learn that sometimes you just have to like it or lump it.
If you had been mature enough to refuse to go with your parents in the first place then you would not be in the pickle you are in. Growing up is painful. |

You can't authorize someone else to withdraw money from your account.
You could concieveably wire money to someone else to buy you the ticket.
Or you could just hang out and be thankful your parents take your ungrateful self on vacation with them! :) |

If they know your account number and have a check. Or have your pin number to your card and have that card. What you want to do is password your account if you want that added protection. Go to your bank and have them put a warning on your account when ever you cash a check. This way when they ask and you have the right password , you only get the money. |

call your bank and ask...it may just take your signature if the account is in your name because they could compare your faxed signature with what they have in their records. They might overnight you a bank check but then on your side you may need an account to cash it, or maybe not, you'll have to ask. It would be dangerous walking around with all that cash and walking over to some travel agent you don't know if you can trust. Why not also call a travel agent in the US that you know and ask how to handle that. Maybe the bank can send them the check (for only the amount needed) to that travel agent. Explain your situation to them and be sure to get names, account number, addresses, emails, phone numbers, etc. in case you lose contact on the phone.
Hopefully you have identification with you and some kind of passport, visa or whatever you need to get home. Be sure to have some relative help you leave at the airport and some relative to pick you up on the other end. Things are so unsafe these days....be careful. |
