Hopefully, it is something innocent, like the wrong address being entered. But, just in case....check every one of your credit cards & lines of credit to verify that each one has your correct address IMMEDIATELY.
If you find out an address has been changed on any account, file a fraud report with your local police station. Sadly, there isn't much they can do. But you'll have proof (the police report) for the credit companies that you've reported the incident should you need it.
You may want to place a "fraud alert" on your credit accounts. For more information, see:

Definitely contact all 3 credit reporting agencies in writing to notify them of any errors. By law, you are entitled to one free credit report per year from each credit reporting agency-TRW, Experian & Equifax. Request your free report from one of the 3 agencies every 4 months. That way, you'll be better able to monitor what's appearing on your report over a year. Each company will try to sell you their credit monitoring service, or will offer you a report that includes your FICO score for a fee, but the report itself is FREE.

A Florida address appeared on one of my credit cards. I've never even BEEN to Florida. Someone changed the address on my account. A statement was sent to that address and fortunately was returned. I discovered this while making a payment on line.
I got a clue that this happened, but didn't realize it. When I entered my zip code while using my card at, say, the gas station, the message "See the attendant" popped up. That's because the zip code on my account had been changed.
One scam works like this. Once someone gets YOUR credit card statement delivered to their address, they can get utilities turned on in YOUR name. With that, they can begin to obtain credit in YOUR name.

It may be an error and you need to report it to the credit bureau showing it. |

Someone submitted your name and social security number with that address, when they pulled your credit or someone used your info at that address. Write the bureaus and have it removed |

You would need to address that with the reporting agancy. Call or write and advise that it is an error and see what procedure you need to follow to dispute it. |

Someone changed my address at the post office to get all my mail delivered to them so they could steal my identity. Luckily someone at the post office knew my name and delivered to to my box without looking at the address on it. That's how I found out about it. It was a big mess. I had to call all the credit companies. They asked me if I had applied for certain things such as credit cards and other things that they showed on my credit report. I didn't!!! I hope this isn't what is happening to you. But beware it did happen to me so you never know. |

Did you ever get mail there? Did a family member ever get mail there? You'd be surprised how mailing agencies work- I get mail for my brother all the time. I live in Boston, and my brother (who has NEVER lived in Boston) lives in Germany, of all places, and I still get his mail. It's likely that if he runs a credit check on himself, he'll have my address pop up. You should look into that. Barring that, it could be fraud- check with your bank or credit card. |

A few years ago I pulled my credit report and there were several accounts and addresses on there that were not mine. What happened was that one of the credit bureaus had merged my file with someone else in my state who had the same first, middle, and last name. It isn't always necessarily identity theft. Luckily all of the "other Heather's" accounts were up to date so it didn't mess with my credit at all, but I still have her former addresses coming up on my report from time to time. |

It happens a lot, due to the customer service reps who enter the data being incompetent. You can write a letter and ask them to change. I did - there were about 5 incorrect addresses on mine and all but one were deleted after my letter. |
