121 divided by 6000 is 0.02016, or 2.016 percent.
62 divided by 6000 is 0.0103, or 1.033 percent.
Together they are 3.05% of your salary. |

You can do it a couple of ways.
First, add $121+$62=$183.
Then you can divide $183 by $6,000 which equals 0.0305.
Then you multiply that by 100 and get 3.05
Therefore, $183 is 3.05% of $6,000.

You can cross multiply. I find this is easier for a lot of my students.
$183 = x
----------------
$6000 = 100
You multiply 100 by 183, and then divide by 6,000. |

Add the 2 payments (121+62=183)
Divide the sum by your monthly salary (183/6000=.0305)
multiply the result by 100 that gives 3.05% |

Just divide the payment amount by your mo. salary. ie. $121 divided by $6,000 = 2%. and $62 / $6,000 is 1%. So the total $121 + 62 = $183, divided by $6,000 equals 3% of your $6,000 monthly salary. |

121 of 6k = 0.02016
2.16%
62 of 6k - 0.010166

Just add up the payments and divide by your salary.
It's about 3% |
