1) goto a shop, if it is a friend's shop - you are in luck. If you don't have a friend, tell shop owner to cash out your credit card and then you give him some cut so he can pay for the tax for the amount he paid to you from your credit card.
2) Join site like paypal.com , make 2 account - 1st with your credit card as verification, 2nd with your bank account for verification. Now from account 1, add money from your credit card, then send that amount to your 2nd account, where you verified your bank account. After receiving the cash in 2nd account - withdraw cash to your bank account.

This is a bad idea. The interest rates on credit card loans is way off the charts. Try a credit union or someplace that has decent rates. |

aww man don't do a cash advance on your credit! You're looking at close to 25% interest! |

Many credit cards have a function that allows you to use it like an ATM card. You have to have a pin for the card and then you can withdraw money from an ATM. However, I would urge you not to use a cash loan from your credit card. The interest is generally astronomical and it starts piling up the minute you take out the money. |

Usually your own branch is preferred. If your withdrawl limit is high enough...and the ATM was serviced recently...from the ATM.
However, they generally prefer a couple day's notice for large withdrawl (i.e.: $1000+).
Just remember, you will be paying interest from the day of the withdrawl, and not the end of the reporting period (i.e.: no grace period). |

You received a pin number for cash withdrawls in a separate mailing when you got the card. If you don't have it call the credit card company and have them send it to you. |

Avoid this if you possibly can. Unless they send you a Visa Check to be repaid at a cretin low interest rate they are going to gorge you with a very high interest rate like 21%. Check your last Visa bill fro your rate. If you need the money and have no choice go to your bank. |

they will charge a cash advance fee - like 3%, so you better make sure the cash advance plus the fee plus your first month's interest doesn't put you over your limit or you'll get hit with over limit fees also (typically $39).Plus, all the money you borrow will have a really high interest rate (like 15-20% or more) - not the same as making a purchase and accrues from the day you borrow the money and if you only make minimum payments, it will take you 20 yrs to pay it back |

Your bank will have lower fees because you're a member, versus going to just any bank. If you have other options, I'd suggest you look into those first. The interest rates on cash advances are outrageous! Like 22%! Maybe try talking to a loan office at your bank about a personal loan first, where the rates will probably only be like 8%. Good luck! |

"A fool and his money are soon parted.”
between the cash advance fees and interest rates you'll be making some bank rich....
That's good cause banks are in trouble these days so on the backs of the poor and ignorant they will recover. |

Yes, you should just be able to go to any bank that accepts your card in their ATM. Problem is $5000 is a lot of money, and you credit card may have a limit to what money you can get through an advance. You will basically go to the bank, and tell them you want an advance from your Visa. They will give you a slip to fill out then you will be done. However, you may want to contact your card issuer just to find out before hand if there are any limits. If there are, you may be able to have them extend it for certain reasons. |

You can try a bank or go to an ATM. You will be limited to 300 or 400 per day through the ATM. Should be able to take a cash advance through the bank, though. Alternately, call Visa, number on the back of your card, and ask them the best way to do it. |

if you want cash go to the bank and tell them you want to do a cash advance. Be careful though because cash advance rates are around 20% and interest accrues daily. |

If it's a Visa from your bank or a bank available to you I would go to a teller there. |
