or make a list of what you actually want.. and stick to it

do you really NEED what you are about to buy. how often will you use it? is it worth that $10?
try to eat something before you leave, fast-food is wasted money! get water instead of soda. water is free!
make a strict list of what you want to buy, before going out ( it works, trust me)
give yourself a budget. ex: only bring $50 with you
look for great sales, and clearence items. but remember, dont buy it unless you need it.
just because its a good deal, doesnt mean you have to buy it
Leave the cards at HOME and try to always use cash.. sometimes it seems easier to use a card. just swipe and go! when you use cash, you will see how much you are actaully spending |

I shop like I am going to buy things...next time. So the next time I go, I have already seen everything, where it is and have had time to think about if I really want it or not. Also, I put things in the cart and then stop before I get in line to add up the cost and edit out two or three things before I pay. Works for me. |
