Wow! That does sound like a lot of money for a 7th grader to earn, but I think you can do it if you have a little time and put your mind to it.
Some of the common ideas for kids to earn money are things like babysitting or helping out with chores. One idea is to see if your grandparents or their friends might need help doing things around their homes.
You might also see if some of the other 7th graders in your class might want to join forces to make some money. You could work together to put on a performance or offer a service - maybe hold a car wash or bake sale- and probably could make more money together than if you all tried on your own.
Also, consider making something handmade to sell, like candles or soap. These kind of things are usually pretty easy to make and people love them as gifts but don't have the time to make them themselves.
Whatever you do to earn the money, talk to your parents about setting up a savings account for your trip and put everything you earn into that account. Your parents will see that you are being very responsible and serious about earning the cash for the trip and might help you by spreading the word to get you more people to babysit or clean (or whatever you end up doing) for, even if they cannot afford to give you the money themselves.
For the clothes, I would try thrift stores- or also maybe think about having a "clothes swap" with your friends. Everyone brings a bag of old clothes they dont fit in anymore or just are tired of and everyone can find "new" stuff for themselves. If you have all your friends being some other friends who you dont know you can even get clothes you've never seen before. Plus, you are recycling!
Another idea is to buy simple clothes and decorate them yourself. You could make really cute shirts or shoes that are totally unique.

As for the clothes? You can find some pretty good deals at Ross, TJ Maxx, or Marshalls. Just head straight for the clearance. |

try thrift shopping you can find lots of cool vintage and modern day clothes there! My cousin's 29 and she's got a lot of money but she only thrift shops because of the really cool clothes she finds there! Try doing bottle drives or mowing lawns or babysitting and helping friends and family with house hold duties for money. And save it all in your piggy bank! Good luck!

Car washes are notoriously good for that, but you have to spread the word and get others lined up to come help. Also candy fundraisers are good to - and rather simple to do. magazine fundraisers work too, but are more involved. |

The babysitting idea is probably your best bet to earn money, as well as shopping at thrift stores for clothes. You would be surprised what you can find there!
But please dont push your parents about the money. If they cant afford it, they cant afford it. making them feel badly about it doesnt help anyone. One thing though, make sure that they will even allow you to go if you do happen to raise the money yourself. They may not want you to go and may be under the impression that you will never raise the money anyways. So ask first. |

You could find a babysitting job who pay pretty well or if not, you could just babysit more to earn up to 2000 dollars
or maybe ask for an allowence or something
mow your neighbors yards, sell lemonade, anything!

go to a Plato's closet. they have cheap prices such as abercrombie and fitch for $1. to save money, do a lemonade stand or coffee stand if its cold and save up. try to be nice to customers and they might tipp you. good luck ♣♣♣♣♣ |

ebay is your friend! sell what you don't need.
thrift stores are great for clothes. I find designer names with tags on still all the time at them.
since I'm not sure what bank age limits are in your area (if any) have a jar and start saving all money you can get (even opennies they add up).
Try a yard sale alkong with ebay, yard sales are good to make at least a quick 200

Try going to a Plato's closet its a consignment store for teenagers. Or you could find a goodwill in a upper class area where you live you can find some great stuff.You can have a yard sale on things you have out grown and if your parents thing if they don't use. You can baby sit, mow lawns, house sit, dog walker. Also if have a birthday before you go save money if you get money and also save Christmas money if you get any.

you can wash cars over the weekend with your friends. ask neighbours if they need any help with any type of work. do not forget to ask permision from your parents first.
