How do u save money!!?
Hi i am moving out of my parents home soon with my partner and our 4 month old son and i was wondering how everyone save's money around the house and on grocery shopping?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Make a decision to pay yourself first. Take 10% of any incoming money (wages, gifts, whatever) and put it into a savings account.

It doesn't matter how much you spend, it matters how much you save.

Other than that, live simply. Reduce, reuse, recycle.

drink water - forget cokes
never, ever eat fast food or go to restaurants
its dumb to pay $20 for a plate of food that is mostly fat

Have you looked into WIC? That's a government program that helps you buy food for you and your child.

Anyway, when I was in college I would buy the cheapest version of everything at the store. 99c loaf of store brand bread, for instance. I remember making a lot of pasta and chicken. I tried shopping at different grocery stores to see which one was the cheapest. Surprisingly, I cut my weekly grocery bill by 25% by switching from the big name chain store to a small chain luxury grocery store.

Eggs are a cheap source of protein. And stews are usually made with cheaper cuts of meat. The less processed it is, the cheaper it is: whole chicken is cheaper than boneless skinless chicken breasts, which are cheaper than frozen buffalo wings. You should look into stores like Costco where you can buy in bulk and save a lot of money over time.

Around the house, you have to be conservative with your energy use. This can really add up. Set the heater no more than 68 in the winter, and wear layers to stay warm. Apartments are generally cheaper to heat, because they are insulated by other units.

Other than that, try not to buy things that you don't need. Your baby doesn't care what brand of clothes he is wearing, so get him whatever is cheapest.

Put it in the bank think about what you are saving for !!
Use a piggy bank
Put it somewhere that you wouldn't touch unless you really needed it or ask someone else to look after it for you!!
