Cube the potatoes (peel them if you prefer) and put them in a pot of boiling water and boil them for 20-30 minutes or until fork tender. How can you tell if they're fork tender? If you stick a fork in it and it almost falls apart! |

Wash potatoes.
Don't peel potatoes.
Let potatoes boil in water with salt added.
Pierce fork into potatoes. If easy to poke into, potatoes are ready. If not, continue to boil potatoes.
Remove from water. Peel potatoes. |

Put the potatoes in a pot of water, bring to a boil, and let it boil for 15-20 minutes. They're ready when you can break them easily with a fork. You can also taste them to check. |

You sound like me when I first moved out of my parents' house! ;)
Clean off the potatoes with water. Peel the potatoes, slice them in half. Place them in a large pot of cold water, then boil. When the potatoes start to be easily pierced with a fork, they are just about done. |
