A - You may contact the seller and ask politely if they would be willing to 'cancel' your bid for you. They are not obligated to do so, but they might agree. If not, you must honor your bid should you win.

your bid is a BINDING contract. you can BEG the seller to let you out of the bid, but they do not HAVE to. otherwise, kiss eBay a goodbye!

You can't cancel a bid. You can only hope someone outbids you. If no one does, you're stuck with it. |

You should write to the seller and tell them that you make a mistake as soon as possible then they may be able to delete your bid or prepare to re-list the item...it's a binding contract and after you click that little button you are locked into an agreement. I think most people will understand as long as yu explain what happened to you but then again E-bay is a bisiness and these people are trying to make $$ too...good luck!! |

You can't. That's why when you are about to click the "place bid" button it tells you that it is a contract and to only click it if you intend to pay. The only way to get out of if is if someone outbids you. |

you can not cancel a bid. You should email the seller and let him/her know ahead of time so that way if you win the bid they may be willing to let it go as long as you still give a good review for example. If he/she isn't a hardballer they may let ya off easy.
Maybe you won't win though!! Good luck. Also it depends on how you make the payment. If you are signed up for PayPal it will be withdrawn within two days. The seller should have a 7-10 day window for payment to be received. Find out by emailing. =D |

contact the seller before the bidding ends...look for the button that says something like "retract bid"....if you can't find that...search in the help section of ebay or on the forums. Good luck. |

There should be something somewhere that says "retract bid" click on that. You have to cancel a bid at least an hour before it ends. Is the auction over? If it is i'm afraid you have to pay or they'll report you for a non-paying bidder (that's if you don't mind). |

Sadly, you can't cancel a bid on eBay. A transaction doesn't happen right away, but if you win and don't want it you could work something out with the seller. How much time is left on the item? If there is a lot of time left, then you will probably get outbid. It also depends on the item. If it is something expensive in the stores, then it will go for a lot. If it sells for cheap, but its high on eBay, it probably won't go much higher. Next time just be a little more careful when you bid on an item. I know from experience that you need to see if you need to pick up the item or if it will be delivered. Also, check the shipping costs, that counts towards your final cost, too. |
