If your banks both support the new faster payment system, then the money will be in Your account within 2 hours, www.fastpayments.co.uk,
However, if only one of your 2 banks support the faster payment system then the transfer will go through as a BACS transfer which takes around 3 working days to be credited to your account. |

I am not sure about ISA's but as for a normal bank transfer, if it is transferrred between the same bank, ie halifax to halifax then it is instantly. My cousin transferred some money from her halifax account into my halifax account the other day and it went in instantly. If you was to transfer from say, halifax to barclays it is 3 - 5 working days but usually it is the 3 days.
