It should be within a week to a couple week time. Ive had the same problem and finally after a month we recieved our deposit. Ive talked to several other landlords and it should never take a month! but then again..thats the joy of being a renter. the landlord can do whatever he wants.

By law (atleast in Texas), the landlord has one month to give you your security deposit back. I hate it too.

They have 30-45 days to return it to you- it varies by state. They either return it or send you an itemized list of charges.
kiki
usually 30 45 days

It depends on the landlord. Some are lazy and take a long time. I've been lucky enough to have pretty good landlords, and they mail mail, so usually within 2 weeks.

It depends, sometimes when you move out. I have also had to wait like 6 wks. They have to check the apt for damages first.

No disrespect but this is something you should calling them and asking them on how long is it going to take and tell them how long have you been out of the complex. Worry them if you have too because it is your money so nobody is going to care about your money but you anyway Take Care

hahah!! i've been out almost a month and have yet to see mine and they already have new renters in there. good luck!
K's Repair (I do it my way)
In Florida I believe they have up to 30 days from the day you move out.
JM
it depends. my landlord waited until they had done a final walk through of my apartment to see if any charges needed to be deducted. it took about 2 weeks to get mine.

Depending on the statues for your state they usually have 15 days by law to send it to you by certified mail and if they are claiming any damages they have 30 days. Hopefully you left a forwarding address.
Amber
usually they give it back when you move out
☆Love☆
the day you move out is the day you should get it back
