In my experience, when you have been approved you should hear from the company straight away. The longer they take to contact you the less likely you have been approved. Id look elsewhere while i wait for their decision although i wouldnt apply for anything else until i hear back because applying to too many different places can affect your credit rating. With that said, just because you are turned down by one company does not mean you will definatly be turned down by another because they all appear to use different systems to decide wether you are suitable. |

Approval for a loan depends upon your CREDIT STATUS. If you do not already have a credit card or own property [collateral] it may take a while to work out how much you are worth and if you are a good or bad risk. If you are not satisfied with what has happened so far, you can shop around - there are plenty of loan companies on the Internet. Do take care however and try to get a loan with the lowest possible interest rate. If all you really want to do is borrow the price of a car you can try your bank but please do not go immediately to the car sales room who will probably be able to arrange finance but at a much higher cost. Good luck. |

It should be anything from 2 mins to 2 days. Just ring them, but if they start messing you around, look elsewhere. If you applied through a bank they should of given you an answer the same day within a hour or two |

If it's a large financial institution you applied at, it usually takes 2 weeks. This is because the approval process is in another location, sometimes a different state, so it takes longer. I would give them a call - they should be able to tell you where in the process your application is and how much longer before you hear a response. |

24 hours and that is it. You should look else where. I own a mortgage company. Where are you located? |

Well if you applied with the bank, they would have told you straight away, and most can you tell you over the phone. |

They usually can do it instantly over the phone. It's all about your credit score. |

Your on the right track the lenders like you to jump through the "Hoops", its a lot easier if you do; but can be much more time consuming if you don't. Don't let them dick you around to much though. If you don't like something tell them, and if they start umming and arring- tell em to jam the loan where the sun don't shine, and find someone who will help you. :) |

Whenever I have taken out a loan I have known right away. I usually do it online, and I have always had the answer straight away. The one's I have taken out with my bank have always been approved on the spot. |
