Be sure to deposit the check before 11AM so that you can have the money after 4 days for sure. If you will deposit it in the afternoon, it will be beyond the clearing period for the day. So, you will start counting on the following day.

It depends on your bank, but usually they say to allow 5 days. What I would do next time, if you need it to post right away, is cash it at a branch from where it was written, and deposit it as cash, then it will clear in your account and nothing will go bouncey bouncey lol. |

It depends on the check's bank, and your bank. If the check's bank matches yours, you can usually get the check cashed and deposit the money in full. You can usually do that if you have an account at the bank also. I have had situations where the bank took 4 days to clear a check. Best bet, if you have a checking account at the bank, just cash it, then deposit it. Full amount, immediately in most cases. Good luck. |

okay if you go in the bank an deposit it though a bank checker.. it gos in your bank right away... but if you go through the outside teller macnine it takes five to ten days for the money to go in your bank.. |

well since you're doin it on a holiday weekend...don't expect the check to clear till next fri. depending on where you live and what bank it is. Usually it takes 3-5 BUSINESS days. (even though the gov. says it takes 24 hrs...no one will be working on monday...) |

cash the check at the bank it was drafted on. or check with your bank for the hold they will place on the check in question and watch it (on line banking) with whatever bank you bank with. |

It usually depends on the bank. For me, I can deposit up to 1000 dollars and have it usable right away, though my gf has to wait 3 business days before her cheques are cleared.
If your in that much of a hurry just wait till your bank opens and cash it at the bank by a teller. |
