Irish | How much do you pay for internet, cable tv, phone etc where you are? |
I'm in Ireland, here we get ripped off! We pay €55/$72/£53 a month for combined phone and internet (our phone plan gives us free local and national calls at all times and free calls to one of the Irish mobile/cell operators. Our internet plan gives us upto 3MB) We use VOIP for our international calls, good value, only about €12/$16/£11.50 every 4 months.
We pay €23/$30/£22 a month for cable tv (giving us hundreds of channels - many of them rubbish though!)

Here in Central California, the bundle of all 3 costs $100 (so add on another $40-50 when they add taxes and all these stupid hidden fees).
And this doesn't include HBO or any of the movie channels.
Seperately, they are:
$35 for internet (3MB speed, unlimited)
$40 for unlimited phone (long distance & local)
$50 for the 200 channels (not including any movie channels)
= $125 plus insurmountable taxes, monthly hidden fees (another $10-15 for the cable box as well) so $160ish
Personally, we won't spend that much on TV so we just play Warcraft online which is only $15 per month. :-) |

$40 for WiFi internet - I managed to get one over on AT&T and cut their land line but forced them into giving me a dry-loop wifi connection... :)-
Phone - "land line" transferred to T-mobile router using the AT&T Wifi connection... $10 a month unlimited local and long distance to anywhere in U.S.
T.V. - dish network about 54.99 - service for 3 T.V.'s - hundreds of shopping channels and very little else.
Cell phone - T-mobile - Unlimited Text, E-mail, favorite 5 plus 300 whenever minutes for about $60 flat fee.
Contract with Teenager - written in blood - misuse cell phone and you will be sent to Siberia. Teenager has been very good for about a year and manages her "whenever minutes" without going over.
Thank god she has unlimited texting... she averages about 4000 outgoing messages in a month. Enough to give me a heart attack until I see the Zero charge next to it. |

Water and Electricity R 500/m
INCOME = Tiny pension. Too little, too late.

Ok, well i am in the States, Virginia. I just got a Bundle packaged deal. My internet, phone, and cable cost me 120.00 dollars. I added voice mail and long distance. Now its up to 156.00.
cable I get 300 channel with 1 premium channel (hbo with a demand channel for free.
