i spend from 50 to 80 pound depending on shampoos etc and kids cokery lessons but i have 2 adults and 3 kids and 2 dogs and 2 goldfish i think it depends on how you eat i cook most things from scratch and i think its cheaper and more nutritious than ready meals if i boutgh 5 ready meals thats about 6 7 pound but i could make tagliatelli or shepherds pie for less so i thik it boils down to that really and i dont buy value ranges neither |

I do a big monthly shop including stuff like washing liquid, fabric softener etc etc and thats about £70ish. Then weekly shop to stock up on bread, milk, fruit and veg, fridge stuff and anything else we have run out of and thats about £40-£50 so think we do actually spend quite a bit really!! Its only me and my husband at the moment. |

I'm an Aussie, so the Aussie dollar is worth about .3 of a pound, right?
I spend about $40-50 on groceries at the supermarket. I grow my own vegies, so this saves us a lot. We also eat frozen chips and chicken kievs, and sometimes dessert, so this adds up.
There's me and my partner. That's it. |

Around £ 20 for the 2 of us with variations. There is definitely no ready meals, pop , crisps , biscuits , or junk food in our trolley. |

I spend about £60 for 2 adults and yes it does last. I think most people spend £100 when they buy ready prepared meals. I don't buy them. |

I normally shop ever other week, I'll spend maybe 60-80 bucks but it last almost 2 weeks, and we both get to take lunch every day. This also included my to huskies food. but i do know folks that over spend, and upsets me a little too because they end up throwing a lot away because it spoiled, or it can be that they are just buyin a lot of meat or junk food. There are a lot of Rib lovers out there |

Until a few months ago I used to budget really tightly on food and with 4 of us used to spend same as you do but now I add a few luxarys as its what the kids want and the bill soon shots up. Some weeks I spend around 100 but I try to keep it down. I am also pre planning menus which seems to help. |

I spend about £110 - £130 per week, five of us, 3 growing lads. This is just household stuff |

I used to calculate the worst case scenario of $5 (2.5 pounds) per meal - so $15 (7.5 pounds) a day. That would be over $200 (100 pounds) a week for a family of 3 but I concure that that is very high. With preparing your own meals, you can get the daily cost down to 30% of that. If you are spending 50 pounds a week, you are doing just fine! |

£30 for 1, but never in one go. Usually about £7 a time. |
