$320/wk * 52 wks/year = 320*52=$16640.00 before tax; better known as not enough to live on. |

if $8/hour double the 8 --> 16 and add 000
$8 = 16,000
$12 = 24,000
$14.50 = 29,000

52 weeks a years is 320 X 52 is 16640 BUT assume 2 weeks off so $16000 and that is gross.

The simple rule is multiple your wage by 2000. That's 50 40-hour weeks. Figure you knock off 10 days a year (2 work weeks) for sick days, vacation and days off. $8 x 2000 hours = $16,000
If you get paid sick days and paid vacation, then you can multiply by 2080 instead of 2000. |
