it depends on the type of bank you are having your saving account...all the banks have different figure limits for these...I think you can contact your bank they will help you regarding this. |

Maximum is not the problem; it's the minimum. For example, when I was a foreign student, I needed to have a reserve/ minimum amount in my bank account otherwise they would charge fees. Average in my country was $500.
Do shop around and see if you can find competitive interest rates and good services before you settle on one bank. |

It all depends on a bank. Some bank wanted only $1 (not lying) and some banks wanted $100 or more. Like i said get with your bank and find how they want you to get started and what you requier to do. |

As far as India is concerned, there is no upper limit for deposit.
But it would be convenient for you to deposit money in different accounts for fast withdrawals, as most of Indian banks will charge a certain percentage of fee for all the amount over a limit. |
