It depends what u consider to be rich but if u want to have income equal to the average upper middle class family in the united states and not work for it (approximately 100,000.00) you have to have invested about one million in safe investments. |

Polling firm RoperASW conducted a survey of Americans with household incomes of more than $75,000 for the Oct. 10 issue of Money magazine. Respondents were asked to specify what annual income it takes for a family of four to be considered "rich" or "upper income." The results:
• 21 percent named a figure less than $200,000.
• 51 percent named a figure between $200,000 and $499,999.
• 20 percent named a figure between $500,000 and $999,999.
• 7 percent named a figure of $1 million or more. |

it doesnt matter the amount of money you have, all that matters is how is you living standard compared to other people living around you .What i mean by "living standard" is your healty ... etc.If your living standard is higher than people living around you then you are richer because you are able to live with high standard throught things like money... etc.So it all depends on your living standards. for example if you live in a jungle and your living standards are high than others around you ,then you are rich. |
