I'm going to Nashville with my best friend for two days in July. I've already given her my portion of the hotel cost and now I just need to figure out how much money I'll need for food and shopping. We won't be eating anywhere too expensive, seeing as we're both on a budget, and we're keeping shopping to a minimum.

I went last summer. However, I have a friend that has a business at the Opryland Outlet Mall, due to the recent flooding the mall suffered major damage and is expected to be closed for part of the summer. You might want to check on all that you are planning to visit beforehand. We stayed at a hotel near Opryland, ate downtown and walk around for a while. We only spent about $350.00. We didn't stay out at night though, which I know is a big part of going to Nashville. Hope that helps. |

First thing, go to www.visitmusiccity.com and check for discount books. That's the site for the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau.
If you have a credit card, I suggest using it for your expenses so you don't have to carry a bunch of cash. It is safer that way. I would budget $100 per day for food, entertainment and shopping. That may be too high, depending on where you go and what you buy.
