Well, this really depends on your medical insurance coverage. If your plan requires you to pay a minimum deductible of say, $1000, then that is how much you would want to set aside in an emergency fund; along with enough money to cover about 3 months worth of living expenses. |

3mos income would be ideal, if you can do it! |

What insurance u got?
One-three months salary and prepare to make ur standard of living lower. |

Well, I usually think it is a good idea to save between 6-8 months of salary in case you lose your job. |

Those are major emergencies, in that case is better to get a health insurance and keep cash to survive for about 2 months at least.
But it would be really hard to get and keep enough money "just in case" for such amount.
Try the insurance, it's cheaper and convenient. |

At the very least a months earnings, to attempt to cover the waiting period for your insurance. The VERY least. |

Save as much money as you can. If you have extra, then that would be even better in the long run. |

Do not go without health insurance-it is better to invest this way and also, having long term disability insurance, read up on it

As far as your personal finances, it's always best to have 3-6 months living expenses. |
