well im 19 and i quit my job in march so i haven't had any money since then. I was a spoiled one to, shopping,out to eat everyday,clubs,liqour, GAS money..all that down to NOTHING.
I have survived for the past 3 months on nothing. Its very possible to go without money. But I start my new job on sunday so its very nice to have money for myself but I learned to be more disciplined with my money, so i will need maybe about 30.00 a week? Gas,dinner and a movie. The best things in life are free! |

--> Approximately 4 days a week, $2 each trip
But normally, I'd need about $53.
--> food during my breaks at work, about $3 for a bagel and a soda or a fruit and yogurt parfait from McDonalds

So you are preparing a personal budget...
I'd say it goes something like this...
1.calculate expenses........
overhead(rent, food, utils, etc)
debt(credit cards, student loans)
spending money(make it a percentage of you overhead and debt)
try 15% at first. make sure it works with you income (after taxes).
keep that cash with you and track receipts for 1 month. you'll have to decide if sandwiches get grouped in food or spending money.
either way you are on you way to a budget.

Sometimes I can go all the week with just 10 quid for food, but then the weekend comes and I`m done! Even if I`m trying very hard £40 minimum. Sometimes 60 or more!
But I think I can do like £25 when skinned. |
