They are almost exclusively scams, the worst are probably the ones that claim they are XYZ corp, and in need of a smuck (I mean "agent") in the U.S., GB, or wherever to cash checks and then send them a completely untraceable western union money gram...of course the checks are going to bounce AFTER you've sent the money (less your "commission") OR these are criminal organizations who are looking for help in laundering the money... |

You need to be more specific.
There are legit at-home opportunities that are net based, but they are few and far between and generally pay a little less than at the office type positions doing basically the same thing.
If you want to make money in an online business, you will need to spend several months on research because as you can tell from most of these answers, 95% of what you find out there are scams. You will need start-up capitol and 6 months -7 years to start seeing real results, just like a regular business.
You can make money from advertizers and affiliate sales and direct sales of your own product, but it is not easy and it takes as much if not more of your time than a regular 9-5.
The best way to start an online business is to find a successful mentor and have them help you. This is not easy though, because most of them have enough competition already, thank you. But this is truly the best way.

What internet jobs? If you could repost with a more specific request, I'm sure you'd get more specific answers!
So, In general, I would be very careful before releasing any personal information to a company, let alone giving them any money before I knew a bit more about it.
The sites www.workplacelikehome.com and www.wahm.com have provided a great deal of information. |

Not much. Most want upfront fees to get started and are just total ripoffs. The only way to make money on the internet really is to start up a website and make money off the advertisers. Good luck. |

many of these are JUST SCAMS. NEVER NEVER NEVER pay any "fees" to get such a job. These companies do not exist for real and sound like real companies just trying to get you to send money or accept fake checks and send them money and the check bounces so you are stuck with the loss. |
