I can work, and I'm 14. That's the legal age, but they wont hire you at grocery stores and stuff until you are 15 or 16. |

You have to be 13 to get a paper round.
If you get small placements like cutting the grass and simple tasks i guess any age.
But to get a job where you have a pay packet in a retail store etc you have to be 16 because you need a national insurance number for example when you fill in a application form they usually ask for it.
You will need a CV too.

In the UK it's legally 13 and a half, but unless you look quite old it's unlikely you're going to get employed by a restaurant straight away at that age, paper rounds and washing up tends to be the main thing for teenagers that age. |

Depends on where you live. In some places, grocery stores hire 14 year olds to be bag-ers. Of course, they get minimum wage. When you're 15 you can work at places like Papa Murphys. Once you're 16 you're old enough to work a cash register. |

not sure if its federal law or not, but in Illinois, I believe you can work limited hours as of 15 years old, full time at 16 years old. |

You can get an 'actual' job at fifteen, but it's very limited as to what you can do. Once you're 16 there's a much greater variety of jobs, and chance of being hired. |
