These are 100% garbage.
Lottery winnings are paid with the money used to purchase a ticket.
If you didn't spend the money in - what do they have to pay out? |

It is a scam. Do you really believe someone totally unknown to you would send you a large amount of money? They will want you to pay some percentage for some made up reason. They will have your money and you will never hear from them again. |

You have to be wise. This scam is so transparent that most people can see through it straightaway.
I am quite surprised you even entertained the thought that it was real. Shows that there really is a "sucker born every day ".
Never believe anyone who says you have won a lottery you did not enter. |

thye are all scams looking for you to send them money so they "supposedly" will wire you a check. But guess what happens when you wire them money? they disappear.
Use some common sense. |

It is a con. Ignore it. This is just a variation of the "send me money so that I can send you money" scam. |

It is bogus and definately ignore it. If you give them any information at all you will notice money missing. They are attempting to take your money and never have anything more to do with you. Now don't you feel blessed that you were able to recognize this. Think of the little elderly people who do not even understand what is going on and lose everything over something this pitiful. Craziness! |

This is a scam. It sounds too good to be true because it IS.
You cannot win a lottery unless you buy a ticket. And if you buy a lotto ticket, you don't receive notification - instead, you must take the ticket and file the claim. The lottery commission does not collect your e-mail address when you buy the ticket, so their officials cannot contact you by e-mail.
And even if they did collect your information, they wouldn't e-mail you. They would send a registered letter, or wait for you to claim your winnings.
You can copy and paste parts of the e-mail in Google. This typically leads you to scam warning sites, which maintain copies of Advance Fee Fraud e-mails. You can also Google the sender's e-mail address, as this is sometimes archived on those sites.
Legitimate lotteries will not ask you for money to claim your winnings. The people who e-mailed you are scammers. You'll wire them money for "fees." Then, they'll come back and tell you to wire more money to cover taxes, or other fees, or something along those lines. You'll continue doing this until you're broke or wise to the scam.
The best thing to do with the e-mail lottery scams is to delete them. Don't report the e-mail address to the provider. If they close the e-mail account, law-enforcement agencies lose the trail if they're investigating this scammer.
You can also visit http://www.scamwarners.com for more information about Advance Fee Fraud. |
