It's up to the individual seller. Before you bid on ANYTHING, read the payment instructions. Some sellers will ONLY accept PayPal, some won't accept personal checks -- you just have to read the descriptions. If it doesn't specifically SAY they accept money orders, send them a message and ASK. Take nothing for granted.
Remember -- when you pay for something with a money order, you have to wait until the seller GETS the money order before they'll send you your stuff.
You can buy money orders at the post office for about 95 cents for any specific amount. They're like a prepaid check. There are lines on it for you to fill in your name and the name of the person you're sending it to. |

You can get money orders at Walmart and a lot of Party Stores. You pay a little money for the service and then give them the cash you want the money order made out for and they print it. Keep you receipt of it for proof you paid. |

A money order is kind of like a check. Take your cash to the nearest gas station or bank and tell them you want a money order. For example the item on ebay is $50. Take $55 to the bank or gas station and tell them you need a money order for $50. They will print you out what kind of looks like a check. There is a charge for a money order though, but not more than a couple of bucks. Then you fill out the money order with the persons info that you are sending it to and your info. Kind of like a check. There will be a carboned copy behind it so when you are all finished, make sure to up off the copy, this will be your receipt. Then you will need the persons address on ebay and just mail it to them. |

well first you have to make sure the seller takes money orders. if they do then say u win something thats $20 bucks. you go to a place that sells money orders most gas stations or grocery stores sell them. and you say that u want a money order for $20 bucks. it costs usually under a dollar to buy one. then you fill it out and send it to the person. they take it to a bank and cash it and get their money. its kinda like a check. hope this helps |

A money order is kind of like a check.
Many companies sell money orders, but I prefer to get them at the US Post Office.
What you do is go to the window and tell the clerk you would like to purchase a money order.
He/she will ask in what amount?
You tell her how much and she will print a document that looks very much like a check. You fill it out for whoever you want to send the money to. ( There is a charge above the value of the money order, but only a buck or two.)
Then you mail the money order to whoever.
I've used money orders for eBay, utility bills and other stuff. Usually there is no problem, unless your payment gets lost in the mail.
For e-bay, Pay-pal is much better.
Hope this helps
Almost forgot - Postal Money orders are only good in the US. |

You buy money orders at the post office. You buy them for the amount of your purchase on ebay. Then you send the money order to the person you are buying from. It works like cash. |

The cheapest place I know of to get a money order is the post office. You pay them the cost of the item you want to buy plus the cost of the money order (about a dollar...depends on the amount on the money order). Fill out the money order and mail. |

You can purchase a money order at your post office or sometimes at a store that has a mailing center. They usually charge about $1. to purchase the m.o.
You have to pay cash for a m.o. anyway so head to the post office. |

Skip the money orders and get a Pay-Pal account. A money order lost in the mail only delays everything and is a real pain to replace.
All of my eBay friends hate to get money orders since they have to take them to the bank to deposit. |
