I am sorry to tell you this, but
You can never change a person or their attitude ....
The only thing you can change however is you and your behaviour ;)
So in order to have them change anything, you have to adjust your behaviour first, whatever it may be, change the way to communicate with that person and sit back and watch how their behaviour will change as a result of that ;)
If that for any reason doesnt work , just confront that person. ;)

There's no such thing as "changing someone's attitude". They have to want to change themselves if they see they even have a problem to begin with. BUT!!! You, yourself can show this person what it means to be a positive person, a happy person, a laid back person, etc. You can be an inspiration to this person to the point that they realize they have an attitude problem and suddenly they start duplicating the way you are. Be the person you want this person to become, and they'll soon follow it if they want it bad enough... if they dont, it wasnt meant to be and then you simply need to just let this person go. But it's going to be YOUR examples that's going to help change a person's attitude
