I'm trying to get verified with Paypal with my bank account and to do that I need to know;
- Account number
- Routing number
- Whether it's a Checking or Savings account
I also need to know the name of the bank but I already know it's at Wachovia. The rest I have no idea. How would I go about finding the rest of the infrmation? |

Find a check and look at the numbers at the bottom of it (from the left)
Your routing number will be the first set of numbers--
Example
Routing # Checking Acct. #
0212456251 100003456789
Your Savings Accout will just be your account number. You can call Wachovia at
1-800-wachovia to ask if there are any other numbers associated with your savings.

Well, if its a checking account, you should have checks.
On the bottom left hand side of the checks are 9 digits that make up your account number.
Next to them will be the digits that make up your account number.
And next to those are the digits that comprise your check number.
Otherwise --- call Wachovia and ask them. If it's really your account, there should be no issue with getting the information you need. |

Look on a check or deposit slip. The routing numbers are the numbers on the lower left. The account number is right next to it, separated by one of those weird symbols.
And are you serious? You DON'T know if it's savings or checking account? How old are you? |

Well if you have a checking account it is right to left on the bottom of your check. Simple as that. The far left is the routing number and the other number right beside it is the account number.......are you from the dark ages?? |

I assume you know if its a checking or savings, if not you can call the bank with your account number and they can verify that. You account number will be on your statement, or on a check/deposit slip, usually the second set of numbers after the |: the routing number is ALWAYS 9 digits. You can get verification that you have the correct routing number from the bank as well, the customer service line knows all! But they porbably won't tell you your account number, only verify (security and privacy reasons, etc.) |

Do you have a checkbook?
If so, odds are good that's it's a checking account
Your account number and your routing number are on your check
On the bottom left of your check you will see l: then 9 numbers l: those 9 numbers are your routing number.
The second set of numbers is your account number - it's usually 8 numbers or so. |

Check on your checks, if it's indeed a checking account. Otherwise, contacting your bank and asking them. |

Can you write checks out of it? I'd assume you'd know if its a checking account or savings account.
If you have checks, look at the bottom line (sample here https://www.expresschecks.com/quickbooks-check-sample.jpg). You'll see the account number after the routing number, which is between the 3 black dots. You can also get the account number from your statement. If you can't find the routing number, call the bank. They'll give it to you. |

Bottom of the check has that information. If you don't have checks then go to the bank and bring at least an ID maybe a few other forms of identification in case they need more. They will then tell you what you want to know. |
