I asked this question last night, but I do not believe I was specific enough, and the answers sucked. I am 19, full-time college student, I have a job in a hospital, but my area of expertise tends to be slow during the summer months. I loaned money to a friend who was really in a bind, not thinking of my situation, and now my bank account is suffering hardcore. I have been at this job for 2 years now, so I do not want to quit, and I have applied to so many places for a weekend job, but they all say "that they are looking for somebody more permanent." And I would kill myself before going to my parents for help; they never help, they tend to just make situations worse, or hold things over my head, and I do not want that negativity right now. I really need ideas on how to make some extra cash, and fast. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Process serving is good money the only real cost is gas. Adult phone line actress pays good if you can put limits as to what calls you'll do. But most important you need to get your friend to pay you back. In the future only lend/give money that you would never miss if they never pay it back. |

If you have a neighbors with small kids, let them know you can baby-sit(if you're willing to). And always be looking for signs at buisnesses that say "Now Hiring". Many times they will hire you on the spot, even if your available hours are minimal. Sometimes they are just desprate for whatever help they can get. |

dont listen to the guys you could go to your near by events center they usually have events on the weekend and work weekends for them usually they need ticket takers or consession stands and if you work selling beer you might get tips usually you can make about 75 dollars a night good luck |

Depends on how fast you need it and what kind of a bind your in.
1. Ask your friend for the money back or at least some of it.
2. You work in a hospital. You may ne able to get an advance on your next check. Or even cash in some of your vacation time you have accumilated. (That one is tricky even if you have it,)
3. I looked at your proffession. You can always ask one of the docks if they need anything they need done like baby or house sitting. Or dog watching for that matter.
4. Hospitals are always looking for fill ins. Check with some of the dept heads to see if they need temp help in their depts. Try surgery or anesthesia. It's summer and everyone is taking vacations and hospitals notoriously are short handed. And Surgery gets busier in the summer.
Hope this gave you some useful ideas or helped you come up with some ideas on your own.

have you tried applying at local restaurants as waitress/waiter they could use you on weekends and that is when tips are good.
Here it is, there are temp agencies where you can register and get sporadic jobs also. Supermarkets also hire people to give food samples to customers. |

When you apply for the weekend jobs, don't tell them that you are only doing it to get through school or for a short time.
Apply for waitressing positions at nice places, so you can make good tips.
Look into work study programs at your college.
Try the department you are in and see if they have any Teacher Assitant positions or field related jobs that you can work at.
The Human Resources or Career Center at your college might be good places to look. I had two on campus jobs while I was in college and they were great as I could study while I was on the job. I worked the reserves and circulation desk at the library for one job and at the art center signing people up for art classes as my other job. Campus jobs have very flexible hours. |

Maybe how I make extra money part time off the Internet, might be of interest to you:
(1) I sell items on a local auction site and on Ebay. The majority of my items comes from garage sales, discount bins at local stores, etc. I sell the larger items locally, less shipping charges etc. and most of my customers will gladly pick up the items. Sometimes I buy items from the local site just to sell on EBay. You can get the same type of information that some people offer for sale just by checking out the Ebay site for free! I average $250.00 per week doing this part time!
(2) It takes a little time and effort but if correctly done correctly, having your own website / blog can be a great form of steady income. That is the best thing about the Internet, it is open 24/7 and available worldwide and you can make extra money even when you are off the computer. My best month so far was $1738.28 without even touching my website.
(3) Probably the easiest way that I make a little extra income is by doing simple things like surveys, and "reading emails", etc. I only spend about an 1/2 hour a night doing this and I make over $300.00 a month doing this!!
