How to make some honest cash?

I am 15 and need cash. I work at Mcdonalds but I dont get many shifts. I was offered the chance to go into Growing/selling Marijuana and I was Very close to doing that but then decided against it because I dont want a criminal record. I just need cash and I need it bad. No I dont want it for Lollies or a new set of shoes or anything I need to be able to fly from Australia to America (Yes a big ask) But just need cash dose anyone have any ideas how to earn some cash inbetween working and school?

I forgot to say I am a guy not many people want a guy looking after there kids. also no I am not a pot head if I was I would have taken the Marikuana offer but I didnt.

sell your junk on ebay...get a part time as a delivery boy

Well, I can understand why you might be having trouble earning money at McDonald's. They are notorious for low wages and few shifts. I made the best money in high school by delivering pizza, but that was because of the tips. Is tipping customary in Australia for delivery drivers? Also I imagine 15 is too young to do this. I found that working in a kitchen at a real restaurant was the best job when I was still too young to deliver. In America at least, they give partial tip share to the kitchen staff, the percentage depends on which job you do. Also weekend construction jobs, even the unskilled labor part of them, often pays quite well, though it is really tough work. Remember, fast food should be a last option or just a stop gap job between better ones. You can't get good money working for fast food. Try working at a regular restaurant, they tend to pay better.

Washing and detailing cars for people whit money. I know people that will pay up to 250 dollars for someone to clean,vac,wash,and wax their rides. do it by appointment or on the weekends.

if you're looking to make a whole ton of cash really quickly, then I can assure you that it will not be made legally!!

Try picking up another job if McDonald's isn't giving you enough shifts.

Try to line up odd jobs mowing grass for friends and neighbors. My kids made a bundle mowing grass and cleaning yards for homeowners. If you do not have a lawn mower to use, the homeowner may let you use theirs and you can require them to keep gas & oil on hand for the job. Your fee can include your labor only and not gas. If you have to buy the gas, add it to your labor. Call it a fuel charge. Don't sell yourself cheap. It is hard work and people will pay for the service.

At your age, it is hard to get good, honest cash that is worth your effort and is justified by what the payer gets from you. Most fifteen year olds are not mature enough in this present day society to be trusted in a labor-for-cash situation.

The only thing I can really think of is mowing lawns, washing cars, going around the neighborhood to solicit yourself until you might be able to build up a regular clientelle. Most other income earning ideas, such as pet-watching and such, just are not frequent and often you have to be known. And usually, forget about "baby-sitting" at age 15 !!!!! You might find an opportunity for that with relatives, but I doubt very seriously that even neighbors you know would want a fifteen year old watching their baby!

There is another very unfrequent opportunity in your going to the homes of the elderly or disabled persons who have a decent financial situation, and offer to clean their home or apartment for them for a set fee (they will not even consider an hourly rate!!!!). Lots of elderly or disabled persons cannot clean their own places due to infirmities, mental condition and so forth (I do not mean "crazies" by "mental condition", by the way, they may simply be disabled by depression!) You might also want to set up a store buying operation, whereby for once a week you drop by and find out what they want from the store, collect their cash, and then go buy their groceries for a set fee. You will not earn much for each trip to the store, but if you can be known for doing this, eventually you might build quite a customer clientelle to the point you might make hundreds of dollars every week! MIGHT!

Usually labor laws interfere (and rightly so) with most hiring of "underage" persons. You might, even at age 15, find some shop (a print shop, a legal business, etc) who might want a "runner" and would be interested in hiring a "casual" non-employee servant to rush papers to court for filing, getting coffee and snacks during busy work sessions, take papers to clients, etc.

You'll have to explain what you are doing and make a good impression if you are going to be hired. Good luck.
