I agree you should call the phone company and see ifyou can get it reduced- the sooner you call the better- this excuse won't fly after 2 to 3 months. Set up a plan and ask them to send it to you in writing, phone complanies can 'forget' quickly... |

Ummm, contact the phone company and talk to them, they may work with you and most of the time, will reduce the bill by half. Then it will take you half the time to pay it off. Just be honest with them and make sure you do not avoid paying them and they will always work with you! Good luck! |

First, call the phone company & explain your situation & ask for some relief. They may discount the bill just to get some of it paid. This happened to me once when I called Mexico person-to-person. I looked it up in the phone book for the rates but it didn't say for Mexico so I figured it would be the same as a place the same distance in the US. I only talked for 10 minutes & got this really high bill. I didn't have the money, called the phone company & they reduced it. |

Assuming a long distance rate of $1.00 per minute, you would have to talk more than 2 hours a day for an entire month to rack up a $4,000 bill. You HAD to know you were making long distance calls. How could you NOT know you were ringing up a MASSIVE bill?
Sell everything you possibly can and GET A JOB. If you can't get a job, start BEGGING your neighbors to hire you for every odd job they can find. |

change your phone number for one so this jerk won't call you no more. See if the phone company will work out a payment plan.You could get a loan from the bank. Maybe ask a friend or relative to loan you the money and you could pay them in payments till you pay it off. You might have to get a second job. |

I'm with the other answer, sell that pretty pink car of yours.
You can also arrange a payment plan with your phone service provider and make sure you sign on to a long distance plan immediately if one is available. Won't help you now but could in the future. |

well i think u should try to think wat kinda job is best and can get u a lora money intime for that 4000 phone bill.... and if u already have a job work rly hard...... u can ask sombody to lend money to u....... u can do work around if u live in the suburbs u can do mowing the lawn or that stuff....... you can call the phone company and tell them that a guy lied to u and tell wats happening... maybe u don't have to do anything..... JJUST TRY TO EARN MONNEY BY DOING WORK!
