It sounds like you have come up with just about everything there is. The only thing I can think is that since it is elective surgery, you might be better off if you can delay it a little bit to save up just a bit more money. I know you say the waiting list is 2 years, but one month just doesn't sound realistic. There are payday loans that usually don't care about your credit history, but the interest on those is HUGE. I would only do those as a last resort. Otherwise, you might be able to put some of the money on credit cards or take out some kind of home equity line of credit. There aren't many good options here. It depends on what you have to work with. You could try a raffle but you have to invest some money up front. Gambling is a risky venture, but if done wisely, can be effective. This is a difficult question to answer because I don't know all the details. Do you want "unethical" ways to make money? More details please and I will give you more options .... |

spend as little as possible..rummage through your old things and try to find items that you dont need/use anymore and sell it. You could have a garage sale to sell them or get something like a eBay account and auction things off. maybe you could find little jobs here and there to also help save up money. if your still really scraping for money you can always go around and collect cans (thats what my friends and i do) |

Borrow it, get a grant, a loan and sell some things. If you have a Roth IRA you can take the money out of that without penalty. If you have a regular IRA you can take the money out of that for 60 days that might give you some more time to put it back. |

Maybe small personal loan, sell some assest...draw against 401 K...not sure what your situation is.
Ohhh, um I guess I would do a credit card then transfer it to a no interest card and then just pay it off. |

Like it's been said, sell some stuff you have on eBay. Take out a loan. If you have a house, see if you can refinance. Take some money from a 401K. |

You don't have $4600 in savings...you don't have a credit history...you obviously don't have the greatest example of responsibility to fall back on (your mom asks you for money?)...and you already have multiple children ("the kids would kill me")...
Why on earth do you want your tubes untied? You made a great decision when you got that surgery. Spend your already-scarce resources on improving the chances of the kids you already have instead of trying to pop out new ones!! |

Well, if it is elective surgery, you should schedule it after you have the money.
If it is something that is medically necessary and you have little income, check with the hospital to see if you're eligible for charity care.
Otherwise, if you're relatively healthy and can work, I've heard that people who live on a busy street can clear more than $100 per day washing cars. :-) |

I suggest you to buy Health Insurance that actually covers Elective Procedures just in case you need it again in the future.
I also suggest you to open a HSA.
I also suggest you to buy Life Insurance in case you die at the Hospital (Make sure they pay if you die in the Hospital)
I suggest you to get a second job.
If you pay for all the useless things you have in your house then you can sell them even if your lovely children does not want you to sell them.

Go to the library and ask for the book "Foundation Grants for Individuals" there are hundreds of legitimate places that will help you. The book has the contact information and what they give money for.
Also, check out your local Department of Human Resources. If they can't help, they will have a list of others in your area that can.
Another place to ask for help is churches and clubs like- Lions, Elks, Shriners, Moose.
