Don't understand why you need to ask this questoin unless you want to find out what different words would be used (quid etc)
Personally I would say, please can you give me a pound.
Different people would ask in different ways, working class people (and no, I'm not knocking the working class either) would probably say "Give us a quid" or something similar whilst the middle classes / better educated would politely ask for a pound. |
