Ring up the Consumer Credit Councilling Service, they will help you to sort out your debts, and they are a non profit organisation, so all their advice is free, they saved my @ss, credit cards are usually on the basis of non secured loans, so your house will not be at risk unless you stop paying them without any warning or consultation, then they can get the courts involved, but its very very unlikely you will lose your house, go to the website below, their number is on there somewhere, do it soon before things get out of hand.

How on earth did you get so deeply in CC debt? I am sorry but that level of unsecured borrowing is irresponsible by any measure and it would be fair comment to ask where the money has gone. You have already risked your home by having this much debt, unsecured or otherwise, and any of your creditors can push for court judgements and/or insolvency which my be redeemed via a forced house sale. Personal bankruptcy will obviously help but again your home is at risk. My advice is to start by a visit to your local Citizens Advice Bureau and ask to see a money advisor. They will help you to look at your options and you should then have a clearer route to go. They may well assist in contacting your CC providers and agree on a reduced monthly commitment while freezing interest. However, that leaves each company with the option of obtaining court judgements to secure their debts. The outlook is not good but you really need to see a professional money advisor ( and don't pay for this service ! ) to take a clear look at your options.
Oh, and as someone has mentioned an IVA, Individual Voluntary Arrangement, that is fine providing the majority of your creditors accept the proposal alhtough it will commit you to five years of solid, but partial payment, and is an alternative to bankruptcy. In my experience, these are hard work but can only be assessed by a professional insolvency practitioner who will charge you for the pleasure. Again the CAB will be able to direct you on this route.

insurance on your medication if taken, or anything really that you have insurance for.
also, if your credit is up then that will help easily.
sorry, but you may need another job or ask for a raise, to help pay for it before its even more in debt.

Hi
I saw your question I have decided to help people out due to the fact that I myself has been scammed twice by fake lenders in my search for a loan but at last I got a reliable lender that gave me the loan($60,000 USD) that I was in dire need of. Hence I decided that I will refer anybody I come across to this God sent lender he is reliable and his terms are fair. You can get to him via his email address: ben_stiller02@yahoo.com, Please tell him that Deborah Kirk he gave out a loan to me . I have search for a legit lender until I got him and I decided to help my fellow humans with this because there are a lot of fake lenders out there and I do not want any body to fall a prey please get to him and tell him that I referred you to him.”
Thanks Karol Slim.

With an IVA. Go to the Citizens Advice Bureau or Consumer Credit Counselling Service. Take all your latest paperwork that states how much you owe each company. They will then look at your incomings and outgoings and work out how much you've realistically got to pay off debt. They will then divide this by your creditors (So if Creditor A has 40% of the total debt then creditor A will get 40% of the available money to pay debts). They will also write to your creditors with an offer of repayment and also ask them to freeze the interest on the debt.

Do not take this step lightly though because it is one step from bankruptcy, if you default on these payments it'll be court or bankruptcy. You may also find that you have trouble getting credit again because of it.

When they write to these creditors with their offer of repayment, if what you are offering to pay is less than the monthly interest on the bill then the creditor should freeze the interest charges.

DO NOT PAY MONEY TO COMPANIES OFFERING TO DO THE SAME THING (Reduce your monthly outgoings ads). The CCCS or CAB will do exactly the same thing for free.

**Its also worth noting that some answers mention CCCS and some CAB. They both provide the same excellent service and both will do it for free

Try citizens advice or a reputable debt company. My mate was in £34,000 debt, but is slowly getting out of it through an IVA...not sure exactly what this is, but I'm sure there'll be plenty info online.
Whatever u do...dont get another high interest loan to pay it all off!
Good luck!

There was a Motley Fool page on 0% Balance Transfer offers http://www.fool.co.uk/credit-cards/credit-cards-comparison.aspx?source=ubifoleml0200012

They also had a comprehensive article some time back on Voluntary arrangements with creditors, maybe you should look them up on that website too
