Call wherever the ATM was located or the bank that hosts it and hope that someone was honest and turned it in or gave their name for you to call in case someone claimed it. |

Are you positive? I've made that mistake too, only realizing I jammed the cash in my back pocket instead of my wallet.
Try calling the bank just to see what they say. Maybe there's a chance someone that needs good kharma turned in the dough.
At least it was only $80 and not the ATM maximum $300. |

Call the bank where the ATM is located. The machine may have retrieved the money (depending on the type of ATM) if no one came along right after you.

Go to your bank, if no one took the cash it is taken back into the atm after a short time so you may be lucky, worth a try . |

you can try going back to the place you got the money, but chances are someone took it. but dont worry, maybe the person who took it just got robbed or hasnt eaten in a week and they needed the money much more than you did. or their baby was out of formula and diapers and they were about to overdraw just to feed them..think of it this way and you will feel better.

You could call the bank or the store where you withdrew the money and see if maybe someone returned it. It isn't very likely, but there are some honest people out there. |

Ya know, I'm actually one of those persons that would turn it in to the bank if I found it. I believe in karma (plus I've done some stupid things myself, and would hope that someone would do the same for me). Check with the bank - you never know.
