You will most likely be entitled to a top up from Income Support: you may even be entitled to Housing & Council Tax Help... Go into your local Jobcentre Plus office and they should be able to help point you in the right direction.
If your not ready to put your feet up for good... you could also bring extra cash in by working from home: here is a great site about a home business, you can work how you like to fit your lifestyle. http://www.bluethundergroup.com/
God bless. |

Housing benefit, pension credits to top up your state pension if needed. Prescription costs, if you qualify for guaranteed pension credit you qualify for help with the other things it all depends how much state pension you get , sometimes it is topped up to more than basic. |

state pension age for men=65 years
state pension=c£5000
personal tax allowance=c£5000
therefore recipients of only state pension can claim it TAX FREE (tax paid can be reclaimed) |

Most benefits are means tested, so they will look at your savings/assets etc.
Your best bet is to talk to someone at the citizens advice bureau. They are usually pretty good.Their number should be in your phone book. |
