I need to give the gym my new card number so that I can pay my dues.I called to leave a message for the buisness manager at the gym.The person who took the message,could transfer me to the person's voice mail.I'm not sure that I'll be able to get over to the gym tomarrow after work,before the person leaves for the day,and with my new card(if it gets there tomarrow).The reason why I have to make payment arrangments is to pay off a debt with the bank.I can go to the bank during my lunch nad take care of that,but i'm not sure about the gym.Any suggestions? |

Call your bank, they can look up your account and get the number that way. Even before you get it. If its been processed then the bank rep can look it up.
I do that all the time for my customers. |

call the gym. tell them your card is coming and can't be used till the weekend. if they wont to keep you they will work with you. in most cases you will have to have the card in your hand then you will have to call and activate it from your home phone. |

Your debit card can take up to 10 business days, so it can take two weeks to arrive...so don't count on it tomorrow.
I have the same problem with my Tanning membership...I went in tonight and told them I didn't have my new card yet and they took a check (which they don't normally do) for my August payment and told me to bring in my debit card when I get it and they will set up my monthly payments on that when I get it.

If you don't have the card number, ask the gym to debit your account using the routing number (nine digit number in the bottom left corner of your checks) and your account number (the next series of numbers on your check, usually ten digits) |

Tell the gym to wait. A day or two isn't going to kill them, and if they get uppity tell them to go pound salt and find some other gym. After a time you get the hang of these things and how to stretch them out almost forever. I once stretched out the IRS for 10 years, and routinely stretch out utility bills for 3-4 months if need be. Anything that doesn't get reported to the credit bureaus can get stretched almost forever. So don't worry about breaking your neck over some dumb gym because some idiot says they have to have it immediately or else. You don't need it. I wouldn't spend 5 minutes worrying over this. Take your time, and when you get things straightened out, then, and ONLY then, pay the gym. |
