I'm leaving my job on Fri and my last pay pack from them in end of nov. This will cover my december bills. However I start my new job 03.12 and I have to work a month in leiu so I wont get paid again until end of Jan. I won't recieve a December pay packet so I dont know how I'm gonna pay my jan bills!!

Should I maybe get a loan?
Additional Details
I dont earn enough to save. The money comes in and goes straight out again

Don't take out a loan.

I suggest you get a temp job to cover your bills. Go to a temp agency, or, get a job at a department store wrapping gifts (or some other seadonal job).

And, for the future, you should have an emergency account of 3 - 6 months of living expenses.

FIND A FRIEND OR RELATIVE WHO WILL LEND YOU SOME MONEY WITHOUT INTEREST. CONSERVE BIG TIME BY NOT BUYING XMAS STUFF ETC ETC. GET A GOOD GRIP ON THE MANY WAYS TO CURTAIL SPENDING FOOLISHLY.

My advice would be to get a temporary overdraft and then cancel it as SOON as you are back in the black.

Sure you will have to pay a bit of interest but it won't be too bad.

Just make sure you cancel it as soon as you can. I got into about 3K debt on overdrafts and it was a nightmare getting out of it and getting 20 pound charges every few weeks.

mister ed
not to worry you will get a partial payment at the end of dec!!!

Do you have friend /family you could borrow from? It will be cheaper, you could draw up a realistic timetable to repay them, say £100 from 4 people, paying back no.1 £20 first month, no.2 £20 second month and so on in rotation. As long as they know when its coming back. It just to save money in the long run, as bank charges can be expensive...

as my mum used to say "never live on strap, as straps break" strap is a way of living on tap one week to the next. banks will love you, they'll be your bestest mate but if you fall short they will cripple you. so no! do not get a loan from the bank tap a mate or a family member first. if you were my sister i'd give you the money. i'm not flush with cash but i'd sooner see my family with my cash than some robbing bastard of a bank manager. at the end of the day they're all parasites.

If your money comes in and goes straight out again how do you propose to pay back your loan?
You will end up borrowing money to pay your January bills and will be repaying it for three? four? years obviously not ideal.
The simplest solution is to borrow off a family member that you could pay back when you can failing that I would speak to the bank about an over draft or an increase in your current overdraft facility this will help out in short term. Think you will ahve heard this before but maybe now is the time to sort out your finances and save for a rainy day what if you lose your job?

Not being funny or clever here. But I can never understand why people live like this. Keep some savings for a rainy day.
