The market is so unpredictable right now. The best place to put it is in a CD. I would put it in 3month or 6month and see how the market looks at that time. When the market bottoms out, you can then put it in some index funds.
It would be a wise option is put part of it in a Roth IRA account(also as a CD and later in an index fund). Check with someone about the qualifications you need to be able to do it (there are some income factors) |

I don't play the stock market myself but you can try to put it in one of those mutuals or even a "CD" at your local bank (interest rates are on the rise, you may get good returns at the bank) |

well a cd wont yeild a high return by any means. you have to gamble to get high returns. I would suggest a high risk mutual fund. |

If you have debt, the best investment is to pay it off. No point in earning 5% interest on a GIC while paying 18% interest on a credit card. |

A CD would be your best bet if you want to be able to have access to it, but if you are thinking long term invest the annual maximum into a Roth IRA ($4,000.00 per year).
