Depends on what the money box is made out of. If it is metal - it will be more difficult to break into it. You could take it to a locksmith. |

on the box there are hinghes.. with a small punch knock the rod that holds the hinge to the box out it is just a piece of rod that is as long as the box.. then buy another lock and intstall it and hae a spare hidden somewhere.. |

What's it made from? Wood, china, metal?
Unless it's made from metal, just smash it.
If it's metal use a lump hammer (about 7 pounds) and a cold chisel (both used to cut bricks with). Or if use have access to a sledge hammer, it's hinges and lock probably won't last more than a few blows.
If you don't mind the possibility of accidentally amputating your arm or the odd finger or two, then you could use an angle grinder to cut the hinges off. (Don't have a go at the lock, as the sparks will probably burn the paper money.) |

Without breaking the money box,you could try turning it upside down and shaking it,or use tweezers.
If the moneybox was a cheap one,you could try breaking the lock with a hammer and chisel.
Or as a last thought get in contact with the manufacturer and ask for a replacement key. |
