I got scammed on Kijiji Classifieds, what should I do? I paid someone 360.00$ but he did not ship my product, and he his not coming online anymore. It looks like his avoiding me. I paid him via TD Canada Trust Easy Web Banking, and he already accepted the money, what should I do? I also have a written agreement of him shipping my product (a MSN messenger conversation that I saved). What should I do? Please help, I'm despereate. |

You should be able to file a dispute with TD Canada Trust Easy Web Banking and they should be able to help you get your money back. The same thing happened to my spouse ... but it was through PayPal. It took almost a month, but they refunded him all of his money. That's the only suggestion I have, besides contacting an attorney and seeing what steps they tell you to go through. Most attorneys have free first time consultations, so ya might go that route too. Good luck :) |

Contact the Banking system and file a complaint with their customer service department. They can get the money back for you. Send them a copy of the conversation and let them know that you never received the product you paid for. They will take care of it for you.
Contact him as much as you can if you have contact info-- you must do that in good faith before they get involved.
The police probably won't get involved the way you need them to. And the Better Business Bureau can only do something if it's a real business. A lawyer will cost you more than $360 easily. If I were you,I would also post an ad wherever this company advertises, letting people know not to use them. Spread the word and help protect others! |

Look in the white pages for a loir, call a few and ask them what they can do. Sounds like you should be able to get your monwy back or even file a lawsuit if you can prove he never paid you. |

i disagree with the person under me, contacting an attorney will simply cost MORE money that you have already lost i suggest you contact the better business bureau, i lost 500 bucks at a website called coyotego.com and they fully recovered the full amount!!! contact them!! IT WORKS w/o spending the money on an lawyer!!!!!!!

see if they will investigate by tracking him down thru his
ISP or if he had an account and still has an account.

Go to the police.
Ask if your bank provides fraud protection the same way credit cards do. If they do, then you should get a refund, and they may be able to bust this guy.
Set up a pay pal account, which is a more secure method for doing online transactions, for future purposes.
Unfortunately, it sounds like you got scammed by on of the many online crooks. |
