You CANT do anything is the most ignorant statement on here.
Whether you believe can or Cant you are right.
For that amount of money and your age you may not be able to do just one thing. Every little bit adds up SOoo, grab every oppurtunity you see! Neighbor need the dog walked or the lawn mowed? You be there. Soon it might be raking. You be there too.
You can have a garage sale of your stuff. Or do Ebay through an adult. You can find surveys, but be careful what info you give out.
You can make things to sell, cookies crafts... just an idea.
Look for a paper route
paint a fence for a neighbor
recycle cans
buy treats at the store in boxes sell individually at school for a little more
wash cars in the neighborhood
I say as long as you are fair and honest take any chance you can to add to your funds. $5,500? Crazier things have been accomplished. You can do it ; ) And you'll learn alot.
And when you are done you will have learned alot. |

Tell your neighbors you're looking for jobs. If they don't have something for you, they might know someone who does. |

I have no idea why a 12 yr needs $5,500 so soon. Mow grass...babysit....help with neighbors household/yard chores...that's about all a 12 yr can do. |

OK do you have a lawn mower? We used to go around the neighbor hood and mow lawns for people. I would think you could gather aluminum cans as well make some money that way. |

I used to get a wagon and fill it up with soap, towels, glass cleaner, etc. And go door to door and ask if they need a car wash. I used to say I would do it for any donation. That way they think your so cute and then they'll give you like 10 bucks. But most people would give 5. 5 bucks is a good asking price. Do a good job though. Do 10 washes a weekend, $50 bucks is not bad. Damn, I was a smart kid.Hmmm.....hope that helps. |

You can babysit. You can work as a tutor for younger kids - I did this.
In the area where I live, you need a work permit for a regular job, and that isn't available until you are 16.
Aren't you supposed to be 13 to ask questions on this forum? |

A 12 year-old doesn't need 5k that his or her parents can come up with. Now do you??? |
|

 |
Why in the world do you need 5.5k??
Well anyways, when I was 12 I saved $1200 in a year just by not spending any money at all and putting everything in a savings account. I saved all my Christmas money, birthday money, babysitting money, chore money, mowing money, etc. You'd be surprised how quickly that builds up. Try convincing your parents into hosting a garage sale, then offer to run it and maybe they'll give you some payment for that. Selling everything you don't want or need anymore could get you around $500. Babysitting just a couple times a year could get you around $300, saving all your Christmas and Birthday money is about 300 a year, and then there's tons of extra to be had on a whim. Just save every cent you get and you'll be at 5500 in about 3 years! |

You could sell on Ebay through an adult. You have to be 18. Legally you'd have to have them be your responsible party. Provided you have good merchandise, it is possible. |

I hope you're not expecting to make that much money at your age in less than 3 or 4 yrs. It's not going to happen. This country has child labor laws, and you're too young to get a paycheck job |

why don't you start your own recycling business --
do you live in a house that has a back year
will you dad let you have an area 16 x 16
what you do is construct an enclosure out of ply wood will take 8 sheets and 9 land scape timbers -- than you talk to all of your friends and tell them you will buy they pop and their dads(mons dont drink) beer can for 18 cents a pound below the going rate -- they bring you the cans you weight them - pay them - crush if not all ready and every month take you cans to the bigger recycling place!!!
if you do like this ideal emal be and i will tell you about goat farming!!! |

If you know anyone that owns a home, wants to buy a home, or refinance, you could refer them to me and I can share my commission with you. (I would have to pay your parents though)
Ex: If some one buys a home for $500K ur commission could be aproximately $2500. |

sell your belongings on Ebay.
Maybe you could see about being a census numerator. My husband did when he was a teen. You just fill out census surveys, and you get a couple hundred bucks. He said it was a steady income and he didn't really do anything. |

This is the best way to make a load of $. Mowed lawns, landscaping, saving allowance money, keeping a change jar and constantly filling up with change you see laying around your house. It could be 25 cents or 1 penny, put it in a jar and keep filling it up. I saved up $1,000 in just one summer by doing what I'm telling you to do. It took me some time, but in the end, it was well worth the time and effort. |

well I wish you well with that and I can give you some ideas. But just to tell you for your age, it will take hard work to get that much money. Here's some ideas that might help:
1. You can start a little business and mow peoples lawns. Pass out fliers or cards out to people so they know who to call when they need a mower.
2. (For me this has been the fastest way to earn money) Do a big garage sale. You can get a lot of money from that and at the same time you get rid of the junk. hehe. I have done a lot of garage sales so if you need tips with the best ways to sale stuff, just e-mail me.
3. This is the most important: You should save money as you are gaining and not blowing it off on stuff. Believe me I have been there and done that. Never blow your money! SAVE SAVE SAVE!
Good Luck to you! Hope that this helped you a little. If you need any more great ideas, just e-mail me and I can come up with more stuff. =) |

Try babysitting, mowing or yard chores for neighbors, or dog walking for friends or neighbors. |

approach people in your neighbourhood and say you are trying to make money and are doing things like mowing the lawns or taking out peoples garbage bins. you could offer to take everyones bins out on gargbage night or something. |
|

YOU GOTTA MOVE TO IMPROVE!
|
It's a lot of money bud. Maybe a paper route after school? Ask local small business's near your house if you can sweep parking lots or wash windows, help clean up or any other odd jobs. Can't think of much on the net because you're so young..but good luck. |
